Successfully designed impactful user-centered solution for demand planning in commerce

  • Starting with no prior knowledge of demand planning, I conducted desk research, collaborated with the Product Owner and stakeholders to investigate workflows, users’ needs and pain points from user interviews.
  • I created the design to optimise the demand planning process, lifting the heavy reliance on Excel file away, focusing on visualizing complex data in a more accessible way to enhance decision-making efficiency.
  • The design was evaluated through usability testing with stakeholders and end-users, receiving positive feedback with only minimal adjustments required. It’s now in development and set to launch soon within adidas’ demand planning department.
  • Following the success of this project, which significantly improved user satisfaction and efficiency, I was entrusted with new design projects and continued contributing to the development of enterprise applications that optimises employee workflow.

Assisted internal UX team with a range of design and research activities

  • Heuristic Evaluation: Evaluated developed systems using heuristic principles, documented usability issues, and provided recommendations for improvements to enhance user experience.
  • Usability Testing: Conducted usability testing with actual users on developed prototypes to gather feedback and understand their experience. Identified areas for improvement to refine the product further.
  • Developed UI Libraries: Created plug-and-play UI libraries featuring a collection of templates for data visualization and charting. Defined layouts to allow non-designers to easily create their own mockups using the built UI components in the libraries.
  • Research data analysis: Analysed collected data from user research (user interviews, usability testings, etc) and documented findings and design implications to enhance designs.
